A true wine collector’s dream, the Finest and Rarest Wine auction returns to New York’s Sotheby Auction House this fall (date TBC).
The highly successful auction will feature a comprehensive collection of extremely rare and collectible vintage First Growth formats, with Margaux and Lafite featuring most prominently. The most exciting element of the auction however will certainly be two cases of 1982 Pétrus, a wine that is deemed “superb, full, rich, and ultra-dimensional” in taste by Serena Sutcliffe, head of Sotheby’s International Wine Department. Each case is valued at around $30,000 and is estimated to be the subject of intense bidding by champagne and wine connoisseurs from around the globe.
International wine lovers can add to their collection through the medium of online bidding, which enables real-time participation in the auction from the comfort of your office or home anywhere in the world.
