The Top of The Standard

McQueen’s latest feature film Shame invites the audience to experience the decadence of the exclusive Boom Boom Room – situated on the 18th floor of famed hotelier André Balazs’ The Standard Hotel in New York. The bar is a place where the rich and famed mingle with the young and beautiful, creating an atmosphere that harps back to a more glamorous time of the 1940s.

Not just anyone can sip martinis in this beautiful establishment however, as last year the hotel gained permission to hold a private liquor license – meaning that after 10pm this bar is occupied by only the most privileged of guests – allowed in by invite only. Even the hotel’s residents will have a hard time getting past the doorman.

Here at Majestery we can ensure that you are one of the privileged who get to enjoy the finest of service, along with the most elegant sounds of jazz, in the Boom Boom Room. Want an intimate dinner for two with a complimentary bottle of finest champagne? Or would you rather lease the room for your own private event – complete with catering and staff?

Majestery – there are no limits to what we can do.
